Secondary Tuition – preparing for GCSEs
Moving into secondary school is a huge change in a young person’s life. It can be met with a mixture of emotions, and adjusting to so many new things, including the level of work, can be a challenge.
Our Tutors are on hand to help. Our secondary tuition is designed to help your child secure the primary curriculum and build on new learning across the different subjects. We will coach and mentor your child in the study skills required to be independent learners and tips and techniques for sitting their GCSEs. We empower our older students by encouraging them to take ownership of their learning and direct the sessions to focus on areas where they need support.
Concerned your child is becoming anxious and stressed? The Tutor Train also has a Mental Health team to help them understand their emotions, worries and anxieties.
Our Secondary Subjects
Our Tutors are qualified teachers who thoroughly understand the Key Stage 3 and 4 curriculum and how to support your child through their secondary education. Many of our Tutors have also been examiners, so they have an excellent knowledge of the expectations required at GCSE level.
We can help support your child with English, Maths, Science, French, Geography and History; however, as more Tutors join, other subjects may be available, so do ask if the subject you require is not on the list.
