About us: Where it began
Praema Stelling founded the Tutor Train in 2015. After graduating in 2009 with a First class degree in Primary Education (with QTS), she taught in several different primary schools in Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire, building on her knowledge and skills of Key Stage 1 and 2. Whilst teaching full-time, Praema began tutoring 1-to-1 alongside teaching, where her love for tuition began.
After the birth of her first child, Praema began the journey of carving out a balanced life that enabled her to be a mum and still have a career that she loved; teaching.
Praema began providing home tuition to children around Bedfordshire full-time, but it very quickly grew beyond measure. Now, the Tutor Train consists of 40 wonderfully talented teachers who support children across Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire.
Praema’s vision was to provide an honest, high-quality service where children were inspired and nurtured. A service that parents could trust and rely upon to have their child’s need at the center of every decision. A vision that supported and helped other teachers create a healthy balanced life conducive to a family life. A vision of making a difference to young people.
